What is Service Learning?
“Service-learning is an educational experience that integrates community service
with classroom instruction, an opportunity for students to meet identified needs
in community settings where the need for assistance is great and ongoing. It is
focused on critical, reflective thinking and civic responsibility--the service
and the learning are designed to be valuable both for the student and the
community.”
